How We Teach

Learning at Speyer is interdisciplinary in the truest sense, holistically integrating art, culture, history, science, and everyday life.

School Profile

Founded in 2009 by a group of visionary women, The Speyer Legacy School is a private, independent school that serves nearly 300 accelerated learners in grades K-8. Carrying on the mission established by The Speyer School in New York City in the 1930s – an experimental public school with a curriculum designed to meet the educational and social emotional needs of gifted children – The Speyer Legacy School has developed an interdisciplinary curriculum with an innovative student-to-faculty led approach that ignites, encourages, and inspires a passion for learning and questioning within each of its students.
