The second annual fundraiser for The Speyer Legacy School, featuring debut work from some of the best voices in American literature today:

- Marie-Helene Bertino, reading from debut collection of short stories, SAFE AS HOUSES, winner of The 2012 Iowa Short Fiction Award

- Karolina Waclawiak, reading from debut novel, How to Get into the Twin Palms (2012)

- Vica Miller, reading from The Shadow of a Blue Doll, a novel

- Catherine Chung, reading from debut novel, Forgotten Country (2012), an O Magazine Must Read

The evening raised $850 for the school.

Chess Nationals - May 2012

The Speyer Legacy School’s chess teams have once again performed admirably at the Chess Nationals, which took place in Tennessee, May 11-13, 2012. Out of 40 competing teams, The Speyer Legacy K-1 team led the way with a 5^th place and K-3 team took 11^th place out of 35. We congratulate our scholars!
