Speyer Legacy Chess: SuperNationals V - 3 Days, 3 Teams, 3 Trophies

In April, The Speyer Legacy School was proud to send 23 of our scholars to Nashville, TN for Chess SuperNationals V. After three days of grueling competition, The Speyer Legacy Team finished with fantastic results! K-1 Team: 3rd Place K-3 Team: 8th Place K-5 Team: 12th Place Congratulations to the scholars on a job well done!

InSpeyered Evening

The Third Annual "InSpeyered Evening" in celebration of The Speyer Legacy School will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013. This fun and fantastic event begins at 6:30PM and will be held at the iconic Landmark on the Park, 160 Central Park West (at 76th Street). It will feature cocktails, dinner, music and auction. Chess Nationals, May 2012

The Speyer Legacy School's chess teams have once again performed admirably at the Chess Nationals. Out of 40 competing teams, The Speyer Legacy K-1 team led the way with a 5th place and K-3 team took 11th place out of 35. Congratulations to our scholars!

Out of a field of 40 teams, The Speyer Legacy 1st grade team took 6th place; 2nd grade team took 3rd place; and 4th grade took 10th place at the USCF nationals held in Dallas November 18-20. Congratulations to our teams!!

The Speyer Legacy School has been selected to receive "The Outstanding School for Gifted Education Program" 2010 Blackboard Award in recognition of outstanding work for New York City students.

This event was held November 1^st at 6:30 p.m. at the Fordham Law School, with our Leadership Team accepting the award as teachers, parents and Speyer Scholars looked on. We had a wonderful evening!
