ONE WORD: REPEAT! The Speyer Girls Chess Team Wins First Place Overall School Team at the All Girls State Chess Championship...AGAIN!

It was a full team effort to contribute to this repeat title! Our K-1 Championship team placed FIRST, with Winnie T-T. and Marianna G. tying for second individually, while our K-3 Reserve team won SECOND, with Athena T. having an undefeated record, tying for first place individually for that division! Our K-6 Championship team placed SECOND, with Daisy Y. tying for third place individually, and our K-6 Reserve team secured SEVENTH place! Meanwhile, Abigail Z. went undefeated and is now the NYS Girls Chess Champion in the K-3 Championship division!

It was an amazing weekend of Dragon spirit, teamwork, and fun! We are so proud of ALL of our Speyer Girls Chess players and thank you to our amazing Speyer coaches and Chess parents for their support and guidance throughout! GO DRAGONS!
