4 Caroline D. Bradley Scholars (and counting)

As of 2022, four Speyer students have received four-year full tuition scholarships to the high schools of their choice through the Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship. This is the only merit-based, need-blind scholarship for highly gifted students—and is awarded to only roughly 30 students from around the country each year.

22 National Championship Chess Titles (and counting)

There are two sets of national tournaments for K-8 students sponsored by the US Chess Federation each year. Elementary Nationals have four sections: K-1, K-3, K-5, and K6.

Grade Nationals have one section for each grade. Students compete as a team for their schools, adding up the top 4 scores for Elementary Nationals and the top 3 scores for Grade Nationals. Since 2013, Speyer has won: 11 Grade National Championships and 11 Elementary National Championships!
